Service recovery is a great way to keep a loyal customer. My firm gets customer service complaints nearly every day. Most customers want to be heard...and they want you to make it better.

My favorite story of service recovery is my favorite restaurant, the Farmstead in Cedarburg, WI. I waited about 25 minutes longer than I was told I would wait, and they made it up to me by buying my appetizers and gave me free dessert, in addition to apologizing and giving us a GREAT steak dinner.
