Good points. Making me think. Look for a blog from me to continue this thought stream. I know:
1. All people are motivated to be successful. They often get sidetracked by bad perceptions of self, lousy mentors and managers, or a series of events that kills their mojo.
2. Everyone is very special and unique and are put here to use their talents. It is our job to help them be who they can be.
3. If you cannot change, adapt or grow you will fail. There are no success stories that do not involve or include innovation and adaptability in its model.

I'm going to add #4 - Physically get the blood pumping.

For me, a little bit of physical activity really seems to "sharpenz" up my mental side and prepare me to cruise through #1, #2 & #3 (and maybe 5, 6, 7, and 8...)

Keep that luck rolling and have a great week!

Great points. It seems too many sales people focus on their agenda to get what they need. Lost in their viewpoint is the perspective from the customer. Referencing your thoughts in my upcoming post. Thanks. Also, your blogs have great content. I am a subscriber.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks so much for the kind words about my book!

Your readers can download the free chapters and see what others are saying about the book here:

I'd also like to say that Anne Miller is inspriational! What she can do with metaphors to help salespeople present their ideas in ways that engage their buyers by simplifying complex ideas to create light-bulb moments is truly a skill we all need to master.

Definitely agree with the comments on Sales 2.0 and the need to continue with things like sales training. In fact, I think that the key to success will be combining some of the new techniques of Sales 2.0 with the fundamentals - building good target lists, educated prospecting, etc.
